VD Recruitment has partnered with a well established nursery in West London. We are currently recruiting for passionate and experienced Nursery Practitioner / Assistant to join their wonderful  team registered for  40 children.

You will assist in providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment for children and collaboratively work with colleagues, parents, carers and other multi professionals. 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of Level 2/3 qualification in Childcare. Must have strong knowledge of the EYFS, good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Hours: Full time , 40/week , shift between 7.30 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday.

Location –  Northwood, HA6

Duties  of the Nursery Practitioner will include: -

• Provide high quality care and activities for the children and to recognise both individual and group requirements in a secure, safe and stimulating environment. 

• Observe each child’s progress and report on achievements, looking for progression and continuity alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage.

• Giving children and families the opportunity to reach their full potential

• Looking after a key group of children.

• Implement high health and safety standards

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and establish positive relationships with children.

• Ensure a high standard of care, covering all areas of the EYFS

• Help organise and take part in outings

• Help settle children taking into account their particular needs

• Attend staff meetings outside of nursery hours

• Attend training courses

• Help keep register up to date of accidents/Incidents, medication forms, planning, tracking observations and risk assessments etc.

• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the children their families and staff with regards to information learnt as part of the job.

• Ensure you comply with safeguarding children and health and safety at all times.

• Take an active role in fire evacuation procedures

Minimum requirements of the Nursery Practitioner:-

• A minimum of NVQ Level 2/3 or above in Childcare.

• Minimum a year experience in a Nursery setting in UK.

• A good knowledge of the EYFS and nursery policies and procedures.

The positions are subject to an Enhanced DBS certificate and references.
