Get Golfing CIO, a charity that supports struggling English golf facilities, is seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will report to the Head Chef and work alongside a talented culinary team to produce high-quality dishes for our members and visitors. Get Golfing currently owns and operates 11 sites with 6,000 members and over 130,000 unique visitors each year. Our annual revenues are circa £17 million, which are re-invested back into our venues and our staff's careers. Responsibilities • Assist the Head Chef in developing and implementing menus that align with our high standards and innovative culinary vision • Prepare, cook, and plate dishes in a timely and efficient manner • Oversee the kitchen staff in the Head Chef's absence to ensure consistent quality, presentation, and speed of service • Ensure food preparation and storage comply with health and safety regulations and standards • Minimize waste and maintain food costs by adhering to portion control guidelines and proper inventory management • Uphold highest standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area • Continuously expand current knowledge of culinary trends and techniques to introduce new menu items and flavors Requirements • At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment • Former experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role preferred • Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field • Solid knowledge of culinary techniques and tools • Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot and fast-paced environment • Outstanding leadership, time management, and communication skills • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Benefits • Pension Plans • Training & Development • Free Golf • 50% discount on food and beverage • Staff referral programme
