Asendia UK is seeking a motivated Junior to Mid‑Level Developer to join our IT team on a fixed‑term basis. This role sits within a fast‑paced eCommerce logistics environment and will contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our multi‑application full‑stack platform, supporting the full logistics lifecycle from order capture through to last‑mile delivery.The successful candidate will support day‑to‑day operational needs, including handling support tickets and routine configurations to help reduce the current backlog. In addition, the role will play an important part in progressing key technical debt and security initiatives, such as server upgrades and application migrations. You will also contribute to the design, build, and maintenance of core UK systems that underpin our operational processes.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain features across full‑stack web applications using modern frameworksProduce clean, well‑tested, and well‑documented code aligned with team standardsCollaborate with Business Analysts and Test Analysts to translate requirements into technical solutionsParticipate in code reviews and provide constructive feedbackInvestigate and resolve bugs across development, staging, and production environmentsSupport integrations with third‑party logistics APIs, carrier systems, and warehouse management toolsAdopt new technologies and frameworks as the platform evolvesTechnical Skills & ExperienceEssential:Proficiency in at least one backend language and associated frameworks (e.g., C#, PHP)Experience with frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptFamiliarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration patternsWorking knowledge of relational databases (e.g., TSQL) and intermediate SQLUnderstanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principlesExperience with automated testing and unit testingDesirable:Exposure to DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins) and source control (Git/BitBucket)Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or AzureExposure to Windows Server, IIS, and related servicesUnderstanding of logistics, warehousing, or supply chain conceptsFixed Deliverables During the ContractEnhancement of ASUK back‑office software, including delivery of new UIs and functionality to streamline common tasksSimplification of customer onboarding processesExpansion and maintenance of technical documentationReduction of technical debt through migration of legacy platforms and applicationsEnhancement of automated testing coverage to improve software quality, reliability, and deployment confidence.Click apply if you are interested in this role.
