VD Recruitment is seeking to appoint an experienced and passionate Nursery Practitioner – PRESCHOOL ROOM for a fun and friendly children’s day nursery located in Finchley Central.

We are seeking an experienced full time Level 3 Nursery Practitioner who enjoys working in Preschool Room to join their dynamic team at the Ofsted Rated ‘Outstanding’ nursery. You’ll need to be highly committed to providing children with the very best care and education. You’ll also have to be keen to progress and develop your own knowledge and skills and work as part of a team.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of EYFS, an understanding of children’s development and hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.

Salary: £30k+

Location – Finchley N3

Hours – 40 /week (Rotating early & late shifts)

Your main duties would be :

• Planning, observing and assessing children in your care
• Provide high quality care and activities for the children and to recognise both individual and group requirements in a secure, safe and stimulating environment
• Help settle children taking into account their particular needs
• Observe each child’s progress and report on achievements
• Record keeping
• Assisting with meals/ snack times
• Ensuring health and safety/ safeguarding standards are met
• Interacting with parents and updating them on child's progress

You will need the following Qualifications, Training And Experience :

• NVQ level 3 in Childcare and Education or higher
• A recent First Aid qualification is preferred as we are Millie's Mark Accredited
• A firm understanding of the EYFS framework
• Experience and knowledge of safeguarding practice
