We are looking for a Nursery Manager to join their lovely 125 place setting. The nursery has proudly attained the prestigious MEAB accreditation and the HEYL award, highlighting its commitment to providing exceptional care and education.
You will work with the Management and colleagues in maintaining an excellent standard of care and education for children from birth to five years. This role would suit anybody that has experience as a Nursery Manager or Senior Management experience of at least 2 years.
Location - Islington EC1V
Salary Offered - GBP40,000 - GBP50,000
Hours - 40 hours / week between 8am to 6pm
Key responsibilities as a Nursery Manager:
· Ensure the provision of a safe, high-quality education and care for all children attending the nursery.
· Comply with legal and statutory requirements while overseeing the daily supervision of staff.
· Contribute to the development and implementation of nursery policies.
· Provide effective team leadership by guiding, managing, and supporting staff while fostering positive working relationships and serving as a mentor.
· Oversee the nursery's operations, ensuring collaboration between children, parents, and staff to deliver exceptional childcare.
· Manage the nursery's daily financial activities, meet financial targets, and optimize occupancy levels to ensure maximum capacity.
· Establish and monitor nursery goals, tracking progress against set targets.
· Evaluate and maintain the quality of provision by ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, best practices, and standards.
· Create a secure and nurturing environment that fosters children's learning and development.
· Work closely with parents and staff to support each child's individual needs.
· Adhere to health and safety regulations to safeguard the well-being of all children.
Person Specification for the ideal Nursery Manager
- Full and Relevant Level 3 Qualification in Early Years Education
- Minimum 1 years' Team Leadership/Management experience
- Minimum 3 years' Nursery experience
- Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted statutory guidance.
- Knowledge and proven practical experience of implementing good quality learning opportunities.
- Knowledge of and commitment to: child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities and SEN/Inclusion
- Experience of working as a key worker for a group of children and their families
- Ability to observe, assess and report on children's behaviour
