Job Description

We’ve partnered with a high-growth, private equity-backed tech-enabled business who are looking to appoint a Group Director of FP&A, based in Central London. This role offers the opportunity to professionalise and scale the FP&A capability, ensuring it is fit for purpose for a PE-backed business heading towards an exit. You will play a key role in driving value creation across the organisation. The business is entering a critical phase, focused on building a high-performing, scalable finance function to support its growth ambitions. The priority is to enhance performance visibility, strengthen decision-making, and embed a forward-looking finance capability aligned to investor expectations. Key Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will lead FP&A and oversee finance transformation initiatives. This is a high-impact role combining strategic planning, operational delivery, and transaction readiness. You will: • Build and lead a best-in-class FP&A function • Shift the function from reactive reporting to forward-looking, predictive insight • Introduce rigorous monthly forecasting and performance cadence • Develop robust, bottom-up models and long-term planning capability • Ensure the business is consistently deal-ready You will also play a key role in: • M&A activity, debt raising, and exit preparation • Delivering high-quality insights to investors, lenders, and the board • Managing relationships with debt providers and supporting refinancing processes where required • Leading finance transformation, with a strong focus on data, automation, and AI Candidate Profile: • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent • Proven FP&A leadership experience in a private equity-backed environment • Track record of building or transforming FP&A capabilities • Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate data into strategic insight • Experience supporting M&A activities (highly desirable) • Prior exposure to exit or exit readiness processes • Experience with planning and visualisation tool implementations • Confident communicator, able to influence at board level Job Reference: 98312 Disclaimer: Eton Bridge Partners receives extensive applications to advertised opportunities, and as much as we endeavour to respond promptly to each application we would advise that if you have not received communication within 10 working days consider your application unsuccessful at this time.
